What's the Next Big Idea?

A Festival of Discovery, Invention, and Innovation!

WHEN: September 14-15, 2012
Los Alamos is known for its’ technology and forward thinking. The Next Big Idea is a weekend of family-friendly events, highlighting Los Alamos’ unique, creative heritage; designed to inspire, illuminate and educate through science, technology, arts, food and music.
STEM Student Day kicks off the event. Festival Day and the Showcase of Ideas follows and is FREE to the public! Specific dates and times for our 2012 exhibition will be determined soon!
The two day festival features an interactive line-up of exhibitors, including technology and innovation businesses, innovative artists and artisans, R&D organizations, and inventors. In previous year's The Next Big Idea Festival has hosted exhibitor's such as Los Alamos National Laboratories, the Northern New Mexico Electric Vehicle Association, Santa Fe Children's Museuem, Los Alamos Police Department Bomb Squad, Physicality, EnvironX, and many more.
2011's Showcase of Ideas hosted more than 40 exhibitors, twice as many than in 2010! Exhibitors will be set-up in Downtown Los Alamos, along the town's main pedestrian street - Central Avenue.
